Environment & Sustainability

Mission's commitment to environmental stewardship is evident through the adoption and revision of the Environmental Charter.

Updated in 2022, the Environmental Charter 2022-2027 outlines a comprehensive 5-year action plan addressing climate change, promoting resilient communities, and safeguarding ecosystems. The City actively joined the Provincial Local Government Climate Action Program in 2022, securing annual funding of approximately $200,000 to support the Charter's initiatives.
