Activity Descriptions
Tot Swim
Hundreds of duckies and other toys, warm water and child friendly music make this the ideal time to swim with your little ones.
Exclusive Swim Lessons
No pools are available to the public. Sauna, steam room, and hot tub are available.
Length Swim
2-6 lanes are available for your work out. Please swim accordingly to the signs that are on deck, continuously in a circle to the right, and pass up the centre of the lane. Leisure pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room are also available.
Length & Leisure Swim
2-3 length swimming lanes are available. Please swim accordingly to the signs that are on deck, continuously in a circle to the right, and pass up the centre of the lane. Leisure pool and teach pool are available. Hot tub, sauna and steam room are also available.
Public Swim
Fun for all ages! Includes access to all pools, waterslide, rope swing, play sprays, vortex, pool toys, sauna and steam room. Children under 7 years must be closely supervised and remain within arms reach of a responsible person, minimum of 16 years of age who is in the water at all times. A minimum of 1 lane will also be available for length swim.
Aquafit – Shallow
Build muscle strength without inhibiting range of motion in this fitness class in the shallow end of the main pool.
Aquafit – Deep
A cardio and core workout in the deep end of the main pool with a noodle or belt.

Pool Safety
For everyone’s enjoyment, please follow the pool guidelines listed below:
- Children under 7 years must be closely supervised (within arm’s reach) by a responsible adult (16 years or older) who is in the pool water for all parts of the pool facility.
- Diving is only permitted in the deep end of the main pool (area of main pool closest to the change rooms).
- Actions which are dangerous to you or others (running, pushing, etc) are not permitted.
- Persons under 14 years are permitted in the hot tub, provided they are closely supervised by a responsible adult 19 years or over.
- Persons under 16 years are permitted in the sauna and steam room, provided they are closely supervised by a responsible adult 19 years or over.
- A cleansing shower is required before entry to the pool area.
- Those with open sores, discharging ears or nose or infected eyes are restricted from pool use.
- Hyperventilating and repetitive breath holding is not permitted.
- Report any injury suffered while in the pool, or contamination or fouling of the pool immediately to a lifeguard.
- Lifeguards may require patrons to complete a swim test to ensure their safety.
- Those with a seizure disorder or other serious medical conditions should be accompanied by an individual knowledgeable of their condition and responsible for their direct supervision.
- Spectators must use the designated spectator deck/area and are not permitted on the pool deck.
- Bags are not permitted on the pool deck and must be placed in a locked locker.
- During the exclusive swim lesson only times, pools are unavailable. The hot tub, sauna and steam room are available during this time.
- Aqua Fit – late arrivals are not permitted. Please wait for your instructor and class to begin in the designated area and not in a length swim lane.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the change rooms be available?
Yes the change rooms, showers and lockers will be available for use. Belongings must be placed in the lockers provided, only towels will be permitted on the pool deck.
Can I use the lockers at the pool?
Yes there will be lockers available, but please leave valuables at home or safely locked in your vehicle. Lockers are $0.50 and Wallet lockers are available for $0.25 and are located across from the reception desk. No bags will be permitted on deck.
Can spectators view the pool?
Viewing is permitted from the designated viewing deck area.
Do you sell swimming items?
Yes - disposal swim diapers are available for purchase at the reception desk for $3.00. Googles, nose plugs, ear plugs, small towels and swim caps are also available for purchase.
Can I bring a water bottle?
Yes - water fountains and a water bottle refill station are available on the pool deck. Please note water bottles are NOT permitted inside the sauna or steam room.

Private Swim Lessons
Private Swim Lessons – (Fall is Full) Requests for January to March 2025 will be reviewed November 30.
Private and semi-private lessons are available for all ages; preschoolers (3 years and older) through to seniors. This is the perfect option for those with busy schedules, those desiring one-on-one attention or those wanting to focus on a particular skill. Introduction will be with an experienced and certified Life Saving Society Instructor. Have a class tailored to your needs or follow the Swim for Life curriculum.
If you are interested in private swim lessons, please fill out the form which gathers all the information needed to tailor a private lesson that suits your needs. You will be contacted by our Aquatic leader to follow up with your private swim lesson options. Please note private swim lessons are popular and space is limited.
Private Lesson: $31/30 minutes
Semi-Private Lesson: $20 per child/30 minutes (max 2 people)

Weight Room Hours
Monday - Friday: 5:30am to 9:00pm
Saturday & Sunday: 7:00am to 9:00pm
Teen Weight Room Hours
Monday - Friday: 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Saturday & Sunday: 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Youth ages 13 to 15 are permitted to use the Weight Room outside of Teen Weight Room Hours if attending with an adult/18+ supervisor, or if they have taken our Youth Fitness's Teen Introduction to Weight Training program.
Weight Room Guidelines
To ensure your safety and enjoyment please observe the following:
- Youth ages 13 to 15 may only attend the weight room during Teen Weight Room Hours unless they have taken the Youth Fitness's Teen Introduction to Weight Training Program.
- Youth ages 13 to 15 year are permitted to use weight room outside of Teen Hours if attending with adult/18+ supervision or have taken the Teen Introduction to Weight Training program.
- Please wear proper attire - shirts and supportive shoes must be worn, and use a perspiration towel.
- Sparring or partner/group martial arts is not permitted. We are a no contact facility.
- Avoid dropping weights. Use collars/clips with barbells.
- Please return all weight dumbbells & equipment to their proper locations after use.
- Gym bags are not permitted in the weight room and must be placed in the cubbies provided. Please us the wallet lockers for valuables.
- Stay hydrated and avoid over-exertion.
- Refrain from multiple sets and limit your time on cardio and in the free weight area when others are waiting.
- Spray and wipe equipment before and after use with the spray bottles and paper towel provided.
- The use of perfumes, colognes and other scented products is not permitted.
- For your own safety, customers with heart conditions, diabetes, epilepsy or other medical conditions are to advise a weight room attendant prior to using the facilities.
- Please report injuries or safety concerns to the weight room attendant.
Weight Room Orientations
Join us in the weight room for a small group tour (2 people max) introduction to the weight room's guidelines and machines. After the 30 minute orientation you can continue your workout! View the dates and timeslots available online, or email fitness@mission.ca to inquire, then Register online.
Personal Training
One-on-one training with one of our registered Fitness Professionals. Your session will include introduction and discussion time with the trainer and the on the floor active time will be 55 minutes. Whether you’re a workout veteran or a fitness rookie, our registered personal trainers will give you the edge you need to meet your fitness goals. They work to simplify & vary your workout routine and create a tailored fitness plan that works with your with your unique abilities & needs while stressing safety and proper technique.

To start the Personal Training booking process, complete the Par Q form and Client Information Package, and drop off in person or email to fitness@mission.ca. Our staff will contact you for assistance on the final booking steps once form and package has been submitted.

Pickleball
- Please bring your own racquet. Shared balls will be provided.
- Must be 16+ years.
- 4 players max per court.
- 2 courts available.
Basketball - Men's
- Scrimmage/full court games are played.
- Must be 18+ years.
- 15 players max.
Basketball - Youth
Come shoot some hoops and play a game or two. Youth basketball is for 12-18 years of age.

- Must be 12-18 years.
Adapted Gym
Adapted Gym is an accessible recreation time for participants and their support workers. Basketballs, soccer balls, badminton, bowling, skipping ropes and more!
- 20 participants max.
- Must be 13+ years.
- Support workers are free.
Children's Gym
Come shoot some hoops and play a game or two. Children’s Gym is for 6-12 years of age.
- Equipment provided.
- Must be 6-12 years.
Volleyball
Recreational Volleyball for youth and adults.
- 14 participants max.
- Must be 14+ years.
Sports Courts
Squash, Racquetball & Wallyball Court Sports
Each player must register in the same time slot - please check in at reception prior to using the court.
Wallyball is offered Mondays (7:30-9:15pm), Wednesdays (6:00-8:00pm), Thursdays (7:00-9:15pm), Saturdays (6:00-8:45pm), & Sundays (10:00am-12:00pm).
Courts can be used for skill development for things such as soccer or volleyball. Follow the same booking process and bring your own balls/equipment.
Protective eye wear is strongly recommended. Equipment rentals are available for extra at reception:
- Racquets - $2
- Balls & Goggles - $1
Reservations must be cancelled 12 hours in advance if you wish to receive a refund.
Roller & Inline Skating
Roller & Inline Skating is for all ages and held on Saturdays (6:30-8:00pm) on the north arena dry floor. Bring your own gear as rentals are not available.
Roller Hockey
Join us for recreational non-contact roller hockey held in the north arena dry floor. All roller hockey players must have roller blades, hockey gloves, stick, and full cage.
Ball Hockey
Join us for recreational non-contact ball hockey held in north arena dry floor. All ball hockey players must have running shoes, hockey gloves, stick, and full cage.
Shooting Volleyball
Join in on this cultural version of volleyball. Originating from India, the game is played with 7 players on each side with no rotation of players after points. The ball is firmer, smaller, and the goal is to hit the ball at least once on each side. The team to first score 21 points wins.
Co-ed Soccer
- Equipment provided.
- Must be 16+ years.

Skate, Cleat & Helmet Rentals
The Mission Leisure Centre Skate Shop has skates, ice cleats and helmets available for rental during your drop-in skating session and lesson times.
Please note, rental equipment is not available for Drop-in Hockey.
Sizes are limited, so for busy drop-in sessions it is advised to come early. Rentals are available (tax included in prices) at reception:
- Skates or Cleats: $4
- Helmets: $1
Skate sharpening services are not available at this time.
Drop-In Ice Sports
Sessions are organized by age to facilitate safety. Tailor your play to be inclusive and respectful of everyone’s abilities. All Drop-In Hockey sessions are non-contact. All participants must provide their own gear and pay/scan their pass at reception and receive a wrist band to play.

Drop-In Ice Skating
Public Skating
Leisure skating sessions for skaters of all ages and abilities. For safety reasons hockey playing and figure skating (jumps/tricks) are not permitting during Public Skate. Helmets are recommended for all skaters. Infants in strollers equipped with a 5-point harness are permitted on the ice.
Discount Skating
Leisure skating session for skaters of all ages and abilities, but with a discounted admission rate.
Slow Paced Skate
An all ages discounted skate on half the ice with the focus on getting your feet underneath you. Perfect for tots, new skaters and those just looking to go slow.
Youth Skate
Leisure skating session just for youths ages 12-18 years.
Drop-In Skating Guidelines
For your safety and enjoyment, please follow the drop-in skating guidelines:
- Skates or cleats must be worn on the ice surface.
- CSA approved helmets are recommended.
- Strollers are permitted provided children are belted in a five point harness.
- Wheelchairs are permitted, the person pushing the wheelchair must wear skates or ice cleats.
- Hockey sticks or pucks are not permitted.
- Wear the supplied wristband and ensure it is visible.
- Players benches & penalty boxes are out of bounds for skaters.
- Report all injuries, accidents and concerns to skate patrol.
- Follow the speed and direction of Skate Patrol.
- All skaters must adhere to the Mission Leisure Centre Code of Conduct.
For safety reasons, the following actions are NOT permitted during drop-in skating:
- Skating too fast or backwards.
- Walking on the ice with shoes.
- Carrying children while skating.
- Inappropriate use of ice scooters (sitting on them, pushing people around, turning them on their sides).
- Throwing snow balls.
- Eating & drinking on the ice.
- Skating in chains.

Overview
Club K.I.D.S. (Kids Ideas Developing Skills) is a recreation program that operates at various elementary schools in Mission. The program is a joint Mission Parks, Recreation & Culture and School District #75 cooperative project licensed by the Ministry of Health.
It is open to children in Kindergarten to Grade 6. Club Kids (CK) is tax deductible and accepts Affordable Child Care benefit plans.
Each of our dedicated CK instructors are 19 years of age and older, have recreation base training and meet or exceed Fraser Health requirements and standards. We want your child to have an enjoyable experience, therefore the focus will be on a variety of fun activities through the day to keep your child busy and engaged.
Please note that a Registration Form is required for your child to be eligible for any of the CK programs. This year's registration form is valid for use from September 2024 - August 2025. A new form is required every year before registration for the new September season start.
Located in the Mission Community Activity Centre at 33100 10th Avenue, the Mission Youth Centre welcomes all youths aged 12-18 to enjoy this free drop-in space. Staffed by a dedicated team of Youth Engagement Workers, they commit to providing a secure, inclusive, and complimentary environment where young individuals can connect, have fun, and express their unique selves.

Get active in the gym playing basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, and more! Facilitated by a Youth Engagement Worker dedicated to personal growth through sport.
Youth Strength Training - Wednesdays • 3:30-5:00pm • Weight Room
Develop a workout plan and train alongside a Youth Engagement Worker. Meet at the Mission Youth Centre by 3:30pm to secure a spot. Youth ages 13-15 must first complete Teen Introduction to Weight Training. Free post-workout smoothie afterwards at the Mission Youth Centre!
Youth Engagement Workers facilitate all activities and encourage fair, friendly, and inclusive participation.

Staff teams at the Mission Youth Centre and Mission Leisure Centre strive to ensure that all persons are treated with dignity, respect, honesty and fairness. Behaviour will not be tolerated, ignored or condoned if it is:

Located at the entrance to the Mission Leisure Centre at 7682 Grand Street, the Boswyk Seniors Activity Centre, in collaboration with The Mission Seniors Centre Association, delivers exceptional social, recreational, and educational experiences for individuals aged 55+.
With a diverse range of activities such as fitness classes, line dancing, cards, billiards tables, and more, the center serves as a hub for seniors to foster connections and actively contribute as supportive members of the community.
Annual memberships can be purchased from Leisure Centre reception during centre hours.
